Also avoid rapid temperature changes, which can cause thermal shock and chipping.

Good for ever
I have had this 4 qt casserole for years 40 plus and it has finally got a chip in the bottom. Is it still safe to use? I have not seen any other chipping and it stays the same, but after 40 + years I guess it is due to wear out. Please advise.
