  • Købenstyle cookware combines strong steel with a hard, chip-resistant enameled surface, but even the strongest enamel can be chipped. Take normal care to prevent rough blows to the surface, and avoid using metal utensils, steel wool, and harsh abrasives, which can damage the surface. Also avoid rapid temperature changes, which can cause thermal shock and chipping.

My mother received the 4 qt baker in the 1950’s as a Christmas gift, and it has survived almost 70 years of abuse: being washed in the dishwasher, banged into other cookware… and despite a few small places where the enamel is chipped, it is in very good shape! So much so, that my son asked if he and his wife could have it. He remembers my mother using it when he was a small child. I am thrilled to find this website for gifts! Thank you for carrying these older styles! Now off to find her other things…

Fantastic! We even have the baker in yellow, as well!
